Getting to Philadelphia:

By Plane

Fly into Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The airport is about a 10–15 minute drive from FDR Park, making Uber/Lyft or a rental car the easiest option.

By Train (Amtrak)

Amtrak service arrives at 30th Street Station from NYC and other Northeast cities (approximately 1–1.5 hours from NYC). From 30th Street Station, South Philadelphia is a short Uber/Lyft ride or subway trip.

By Car

Philadelphia is accessible via I-95, I-76, and the PA Turnpike. Free parking is available near the venue.

Getting to FDR Park & the Venue:

From Center City

- 15–20 minutes by car or rideshare

- 30–40 minutes via public transportation

Recommended Option: Uber/Lyft

Rideshare is the simplest way to reach the Boathouse, especially for out-of-town guests.

Search “FDR Park Boathouse” or “American Swedish Historical Museum”, then follow signage toward the lake.

Public Transportation (SEPTA)

Subway – Broad Street Line (B1 - Orange Line)

Take the subway southbound toward NRG Station (last stop)

Exit at NRG Station

From there, the Boathouse is about a 10–15 minute walk or a very short rideshare

Fare: ~$2.90 per ride (contactless or SEPTA Key)

Bus (Optional / Local-Friendly)

Route 17: Stops near 20th & Pattison Ave (short walk into the park)

Route 4: Stops at Broad & Pattison Ave near the park entrance

Fare: ~$2.90 per ride (also contactless or SEPTA Key)

Parking:

Free parking is available within FDR Park and along nearby streets.

The American Swedish Historical Museum is kind enough to let guests park in their parking lot (across the street from the Boathouse) as long as guests are parking in spots closest to the Boathouse (the south-most area of the lot).

Parking is typically plentiful, but we recommend arriving a bit early.
